Sing-Along

The Great Class of 1978 Songbook

The Princeton Family

(To the tune of The Addams Family)

They're younger and they're older
Some shy and some are bolder
Nude Olympics was in Holder

The Princeton family

Their campus a museum
When people come to see'em
With lots of sporting te-ams

The Princeton family

(shouted)
‘78
‘78
‘78

So, join the famous P-Rade

Our class we never would trade
Old friends and new to be made
The Princeton family

The Princetones

(To the tune of The Flintstones)

Princetones. Meet the Princetones.

We're the modern stone age family.
From the state of Jersey,
They're a page right out of history.
Let's walk with the classes oh so neat.
Our class, ’78 cannot be beat!
When you're with the Princetones
Have a yabba dabba doo time,
A dabba doo time,
We'll have a gay old time!

Orange Acres

(To the tune of Green Acres)

Old Nassau is the place to be.
Dorm living is the life for me.
Meal plans and sleeping in each day
Keep real life, ivory towers are A-OK.

Adult living is where we belong.

Jobs, kids and work, it makes us strong.
We just adore the daily grind
But when we pause, it’s Princeton
on our mind.

(shouted)

...Hoagie sub!
...The Pub!
...The Woo!
...Me and you!

(sung)

Forget this strife.
Good bye, real life.
Old Nassau we are here.

Class of ‘78

(To the tune of Mr. Ed)

Hello, we’re Class of ‘78
A class is a class, you bet your ass,
And no one can pick out the bestest class

That is, alas, unless the class is the famous ‘78.

Go right to the class and ask with sass
They'll give you the answer with tacks of brass.
They’re always honest, never crass.

Class of ‘78.

Classes yakkity yak a streak and claim
that they are great
But classes old and young just fade in
the glow of ‘78.

A class is a class, you bet your ass,

And this one'll crow while others we pass..
You never heard of our famous class?
Well listen to this.
We are ’78!

The Tigers

(To the tune of The Monkees)

Here we come, walkin' Nassau Street

We get the funniest looks from everyone we meet
Hey, hey, we're the Tigers and people
say we’re foolin’ around
Don’t mess with our locomotives,

the P-rade is coming to town!

We're just tryin' to be friendly, come
and watch us make our way
We're the old generation, but we've
got something to say
Hey, hey, we're the Tigers and
people say we’re foolin’ around
’78 is in motion, the P-Rade is coming to town!

Orange Daze

(To the tune of Sunny Days from Sesame Street)

Orange Daze

Sweepin' the blues away
On my way to where the air is sweet
Can you tell me how to get?
How to get to Nassau Street

Come and stay

Everything's A-OK
Friendly students there
That's where we met
Can you tell me how to get
How to get to Nassau Street
It's a magic P-Rade ride
All our hearts will open wide
To Tiger people like you
Tiger people like
What a beautiful
Orange Day
Sweepin' the blues away
On my way to where the air is sweet
Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Nassau Street
How to get to Nassau Street
How to get to...

Princeton Junction

(To the tune of Petticoat Junction)

Come ride the little train

That is rollin' down the tracks
From the junction
Forget about your cares
It is time to relax
From the junction
Grades on curves, you bet!
Get those As, when you get
From the junction
(spoken) Princeton Junction!

Leave your cares on the tracks

We are all going back
From the junction
(spoken) Princeton Junction!
It is P-Rade time
And we’re feeling mighty fine
At the junction
(spoken) Princeton Junction!
And the Class of ‘78
Is the greatest of the great
At the junction
(spoken) Princeton Junction!

The Brainy Bunch

(To the tune of The Brady Bunch)

Here's the story of a place named Princeton
Whose traditions were very very old.
They were all men, living all together
An ivy league male mold.

Here's the story, of some daring women,

Who were busy breaking ceilings of their own,
They knew that they deserved an education,
And they were not alone.
In the 70’s these ladies met these fellows
And they knew that it was much more
than a hunch,
That this group would form a Princeton family.
That's the way we all became the Brainy Bunch.
The Brainy Bunch,
The Brainy Bunch,
That's the way we all became the Brainy Bunch.

Going Back Tiger

(To the tune of Welcome Back Kotter)

Going back

Your dreams were your ticket out
Going back
To that same old place that you laughed about
Well, the names have all changed
Since you hung around
But those dreams have remained
And they've turned around
Who'd have thought they'd lead you?
(Who'd have thought they'd lead you?)
To the P-Rade where we need you?
(To the P-rade where we need you?)
Still young, we are not
But we love this place a lot
Going back
Going back, Going back, Going back

Going back Going back

Going back
We always could spot a friend
Going back
And we smile when we think how
things were then
We recall what a scene
We were learnin' in
There was somethin' that
Made us come back again
And those were things that lead you
(Those were things that lead you)
To the P-Rade where we need you
(To the P-rade where we need you)
Still young, we are not
But we love this place a lot
Going back
Going back, Going back, Going back

Going back Going back

Still young, we are not
(Going back, Going back)
But we love this place a lot
(Going back, Going back)
Still young, we are not
But we love this place a lot
Going back
Going back, Going back, Going back
Going back Going back Going back,
Going back Going back, Going back
